At Spanish for Therapist Institute, (503) (3) (c), our mission is to help expand access to culturally responsive care by empowering professionals to communicate more effectively with Spanish-speaking clients and communities. As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to increasing the number of professionals who have the language skills and confidence to serve the growing Spanish-speaking population across the United States.
By increasing access to clinical Spanish education, we hope to help reduce language barriers, strengthen the connection between professionals and the communities they serve, and ultimately make quality services more accessible to Spanish-speaking individuals and families.

We offer group classes, private one-on-one instruction, and practical resources designed to help medical professionals, mental health professionals, therapists, counselors, and other healthcare and helping professionals develop their clinical Spanish skills. Our goal is not simply to teach Spanish, but to help professionals communicate with greater confidence, understanding, and cultural sensitivity in their work. Studying abroad offers a unique opportunity to expand your Spanish language skills through real-world immersion. By living and learning in a Spanish-speaking country, you can practice Spanish in everyday conversations, experience the culture firsthand, and develop greater confidence communicating with native speakers. Beyond improving vocabulary and fluency, a study-abroad experience helps you gain a deeper understanding of cultural traditions, communication styles, and perspectives—skills that can enhance both personal and professional connections with Spanish-speaking communities.
